OGP in Portugal

Portugal joined the OGP on December 13, 2017, and the Administrative Modernization Agency (AMA) was designated as a focal point for the Portuguese participation in the OGP.

This participation involves the preparation of National Action Plans for Open Administration, to be developed biennially through articulation between the Public Administration and Civil Society and which will be based on the four principles of Open Administration defined by OGP:

- Promoting transparency; 

- Giving more power to citizens; 

- Fighting corruption; and 

- Using new technologies to enhance the relationship between the State and the Citizen.
