Event and Course - Transparency International Portugal

 

Last 16 September 2022, Transparency International Portugal (TI Portugal) hosted the conference Transparency of Beneficial Ownership: Challenges and Opportunities in Portugal, with the support of the European Commission, in the context of the Civil Society Advancing Beneficial Ownership Transparency (CSABOT) project.  

The event focused on raising the levels of awareness about the role that beneficial ownership information plays in preventing and fighting Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing (ML/FT). 

As next steps, TI Portugal will provide an online training on 26 and 27 October with the aim of empowering actors and civil society organisations to understand and use beneficial ownership information in the fight against money laundering and other financial crimes.
