Commitment 6 - Raise awareness and build capacity on cybersecurity issues

Macro Activitie 1 - Prepare a diagnosis of the areas identified as needing more deepening.

Macro Activitie 2 - Hold clarification sessions with specific audiences (businesspeople from different areas, entrepreneurs, citizens in general) to "translate" the existing benchmarks on cybersecurity, as well as training and adoption of practices in defence against cyber threats, enabling the detection, mitigation and recovery of vulnerability situations.

Macro Activitie 3 - Presentation of results at the national meeting - Cybersecurity days - CDAYS 2022.

Macro Activitie 4 - Participation in the Public Administration Cybersecurity Forum.

State point

With regard to activity 1, the Society 2021 Report was published in December 2021. The 3rd edition of this report, in addition to analyzing data on attitudes, behaviors, education and awareness of cybersecurity, has as new the highlight of some indicators correlated with possible impacts of the National Cyberspace Security Strategy; a new chapter on uses of digital technologies in general; the deepening of the survey on awareness-raising actions; and a set of recommendations.

Regarding activity 2, between January 2021 and March 31, 2022, several awareness-raising actions were carried out on various topics related to Cybersecurity and the “translation” of existing references in this area: General Cybersecurity Courses, General Cyberhygiene Courses, Cybersecurity Awareness Actions for various audiences, National Roadshow 2022 (consists of holding several awareness sessions delocalized throughout the country on the Framework on the Legal Regime for Cyberspace Security and the respective regulations referred to in Decree-Law Nº 65/ 2021, July 30), MOOCs on Cybersecurity, among others. Altogether, these awareness raising initiatives reached around 7000 citizens (6810) and the MOOCs over 37000 participants (37152 citizens).

 

Description of expected results:

Achieve a greater capacity for understanding and autonomy in the application of security standards and benchmarks among digital media-using entities and citizens. Reinforcement of knowledge among companies and public administrations for the sustained and safe digital transition.
