About the Portal
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) intends that governments become more transparent, accountable and closer to citizens to provide better public services, which in many cases will require a cultural change that will ensure greater dialogue and collaboration between governments and civil society.
This portal was created within the scope of the Portuguese participation in the OGP, which includes the articulation between the Public Administration and Civil Society and is based on the four principles of Open Administration defined by the OGP:
- Promoting transparency;
- Giving more power to citizens;
- Fighting corruption; and
- Using new technologies to enhance the relationship between the State and the Citizen.
Thus, this portal aims to inform citizens about all the actions inherent to the Portuguese participation in the OGP, as well as to mobilize civil society to co-create a more transparent, more open and more efficient Public Administration.
